The bedroom is located at the opposite end of the house compared to the other bedrooms offering maximum privacy. The bedroom has a digital lock for your security and privacy. The new 3 pc. private bathroom (shower, toilet, sink) is located right next to the bedroom. Just 5 steps away is your private living room with comfortable lounge furniture. A Smart T.V. and a fireplace enhance the room.
This suite is located on the lower level in a walk-out basement with large windows. If you want to cook or eat, you have the privilege of using the shared main floor kitchen and dining area. This suite is ideal for a couple who wants maximum privacy or a family travelling with a couple of children.
Located just 20 minute walk to the University of Waterloo, 3 min. drive from David Johnston Research and Technology Park and 5 km to St. Jacob's Farmer's Market and Flea Market. Enjoy the walking trails through nearby Laurel Creek Conservation area.

I like to greet our guests upon arrival and give them a tour of the house. If I am unable to do so, I will send a text with the property codes.
We are available to answer questions about the area and things to do. Some guests like to enjoy a cup of coffee together and share their experiences. We're delighted to share our 10 years of world travel with others. Otherwise, for those that want their seclusion and privacy; we make ourselves scare!
Although we are only 5 short km to the St. Jacob's Market and Outlet Mall, we've had visiting professors, parents of university students visiting their children and tourists alike stay with us. Our guests also consists of professionals working or visiting the companies located in David Johnston Research Park.
Bus #9 is at the nearest corner which goes directly to the UW, Connestogo Mall and uptown Waterloo.
Quiet hours: 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Please remove shoes in the house.
Please keep food and drink on the main floor.
Water is allowed in the room.
Only registered guests allowed on the premises.
No parties of any kind.
No pets.
Property not suitable for children under 5 years of age.
Guest must have working cell phone.
Absolutely NO SMOKING in or on the property. $300.00 fine and reservation terminated immediately.

Late Checkout Rules: House rules allow us to discuss a late check out, so please use the message box to ask us. You can have a 12:30 p.m. checkout, if we authorize it for $25.00 extra, instead of the regular 11:00 a.m. check out. Please inquire if you would like a late check-out and we'll see if we can work with you on that. Please do so in advance, because it gets more expensive, if you ask for a late check out the same day.
Otherwise late checkout after 11:00 am is a full day fee.

We have had the privilege of travelling the world, visiting more than 35 countries during the last 10 years. In late 2018, we returned to Canada and started our guest rooms and suites - "Hammer Haus". Now, instead of travelling the world, the world is coming to us! We've enjoyed hosting guests from many countries including: England, Germany, Russia, Brazil, France, Ireland, Scotland, China, Korea, Australia, USA and many parts of Canada. We are delighted to share our home and gardens with our guests and hear about their travels. If you are interested in a "home away from home", Hammer Haus is the perfect place! In 2020, we opened Hammer Haus II. This property offers closer access to the University of Waterloo and David Johnston's Research and Technology Park. This location is very convenient for visiting professors, parents visiting their children in university and business people working in the Hi-Tech Park. Cancellation Policy: One hundred percent (100.00%) of the total booking charges will be refunded if the cancellation is made more than 5 days prior to the arrival date of the reservation. For cancellations made within 5 days prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued.
The King Suite with private living room is priced for 2 adults. Children (ages 5 to 18 yr.) are extra.
